Three Ways To Make Your Small Condo More Appealing On A House Listing

Posted on: 30 November 2016

Selling your old condominium means that you need to get your place on a house listing service immediately. The sooner buyers can find you on the market, the easier it will be to get a sale. If you have a condo that looks like an average apartment or condominium, your main job will be to stand out against other available homes. Here are three ways that you can make your small condo more appealing for buyers.

Make the exterior space beautiful

Exterior space is something that many condominiums lack. In order to draw in those who like condo living or who are on the fence about buying an apartment, you should play up your outside space. Set up your balcony to look like a cozy french bistro with a small table and a set of seats. On the table, place a setting of coffee cups along with a small vase of flowers. If you do not have enough space for a bistro set, hang up a swinging chair set and feature lots of colorful plants. The better you make the small outside space look, the more drawn many will be to your condo.

Install a wall of mirrors

One hardship that is difficult to change when it comes to selling a home is square footage. Although you may not be able to add square footage to your condo, you can make the space look larger and more usable. If you have a wall the separates the kitchen from the rest of the apartment, tear down the wall and put up an island in its place. This will provide you with more walking space and make the condo look bigger. On one wall that has no decor, add a mirror. The wider and longer the mirror, the larger your space will also look. You can do this inside of the main rooms and inside of the bedrooms for the same effect.

Install more windows

One major construction change that you can perform to make the condo more desirable is to install window. Large floor to ceiling windows will remove the necessity of decorating that wall and will allow more natural light into a small condo. With floor to ceiling windows, your condominium may stand out from others in the city, especially if you have a good view. This investment will make your photographs nicer and your space will also be impressive in person.
